Why I'm building this
Like a lot of you, I have agents running in Hermes, OpenClaw, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, and now Grok Bot. Some on my laptop, some on a Mac mini, some in the cloud. The ones on my laptop die when I close it. The ones in the cloud are invisible until they fail.
Grok Bot is the closest to what I actually want. One computer that stays on, a screen for every bot, all of them sharing the same browser and the same logins. I like it enough to keep paying for it. Paying also means betting my whole setup on one model company, keeping my data on their machines, and having no clean way to leave.
So I am building that for the harnesses I already use. Hermes is first and it is complete. Bring your own provider. Run bots on my cloud desk, on your own machine, or both. Download the whole desk whenever you want, and take it with you if you go.

Is it free?
No. The beta is paid, with one Hobby plan. Every desk is a real cloud machine and the price reflects that. Final pricing lands before Wave 1 invites go out.
What do I need?
A Mac, for now. Windows is coming later. Bring your own model provider, connected the same way you would connect it for any Hermes agent.
What's Hermes?
The open agent framework DeskMux supports fully at launch: chat, routines, teaching tasks, bots talking to bots. If you already run Hermes at home, your local bots join the same roster as your cloud bots.
Only Hermes?
At launch, yes, and it's the full experience, not a preview. OpenClaw is next. The plan is one desk where every agent you run gets a screen, whatever framework it's from. Join the waitlist and you'll be early for all of it.
Is my stuff portable?
Yes. One click downloads a full backup of your desk, files, browser profile, and bot configs. Restore it anywhere, or take it with you when you leave.
